Visual Media Collection

The VMC database contains library records for about 25,000 slides and digital images. Cataloguing is ongoing, focusing on Art History faculty members' major areas of specialty, including 19th century European painting, Chinese painting, architecture, and contemporary American and European art. Many of our slides are also available here as digital images, viewable only by members of the Northwestern University community. To find these images, try a Keyword search by "your subject AND www".

Please note that where an image from our collection is available in the ARTstor online collections, this will be noted in the catalog record.
